Development Funds are Available

It is very good news that now even individuals or small NGO’s can apply for international funding from Mohamed bin Zayed Species Conservation Fund that is accepting applications to support projects, focused on any or all kinds of plant, animal and fungus species, subject to the approval of an independent evaluation committee.
Total amount of the grant would not be more than US Dollars 25,000 for each approved project proposal, whereas any application for more than this will be rejected. However total budget of any project can be higher if there are other available sources of funding.
This Fund has been established to provide requested grants to individual species, conservation initiatives recognize leaders in the field and elevate the importance of species in the broader conservation debate. Focus of the fund is global and eligibility for grants would be for all plant, animal and fungi species conservation efforts, without discrimination on the basis of region or selected species.
Anyone directly involved in activities, projects or advocacy regarding species conservation can apply to the Fund for a grant. Applicant may apply for more than one grant at a time if applying on behalf of different projects to help different species.  Applications must be submitted in English. Budgets must be submitted in US Dollars.
Interested applicants can submit their project funding applications only through the online system, and so the Fund will not consider applications, sent as Word document attachments to an email.
